Panic bells, it's red alert

Preview of Natsuki Nakano's OWL line. OWL's first Fall line will be launching in New York this August.

A Japanese native, Natski studied fashion and art in London before landing in New York. While the focus of OWL is truly on the clothes themselves, the process of creating them incorporates elements of all these experiences into a timeless, easy luxury.

Hisham Oumlil

Unlike most menswear designers, which derive their focus from the anonymity of Ready to Wear, Hisham started by first building a private clientele with whom he works closely from selecting fabrics and designs to fittings, and final styling. After two years working solely with private clients, Hisham began showing RTW collections in 2007. He has since showed Seven collections during New York Fashion week, which have been featured in numerous domestic and international magazines including; GQ, Black Book, Details, Departures, Surface, City, Vanity Fair Italy, L’Officiel Brazil, and most recently, Actuel, Maroc D’Exception and GQ style Germany.

Helianthus Boutique

Owner Grace Wang opened the doors to the first Helianthus store in the Summer of 2007, right across the street from NYU. Just a block away from Washington Square Park, the store flourished after a year and a half, allowing for the opening of a second location in Soho on Spring Street. Helianthus is Zagat-rated and was featured in New York's Time Out magazine and New York Magazine's The Cut. They are also part of NYU's student discount program. Their stores carry a meticulously edited collection of designers from around the world. They offer a balance of both established labels and talented up-and-coming designers.

San & Soni

San & Soni is the collection driven by playful spirit and young attitude by the innovation duo Sonali & Jeet. It is no coincidence that couple has decided to debut there first collection in Spring 2009, sharing remarkable similar background, passion for art, creation, textures and details. Collection is been sold in specialty stores in US, Canada and Australia. Fans include celebrities like Tyra Banks, Alex McCord and collection has been featured in WWD, Daily Candy, Audrey, TOBE Report, Elle.com, NY Post, Stylecaster.

Superdry

Superdry Clothing is a UK clothing brand founded in 2003. It started in Cheltenham as Laundry Athletics and eventually opened its first store under the Superdry name in Covent Garden, London. The popularity of the brand grew rapidly after David Beckham was seen wearing its signature Osaka T-shirts and Brad leather jacket.. In 2008, a nationwide expansion of the brand took place, with stores opening in major cities all over the UK. Before the expansion, Superdry clothing was sold only in the London store, House of Fraser concessions and Cult stores. Superdry products fuse vintage Americana fabrics with pseudo-Japanese text.

OWL

Natski Nakano created OWL in early 2009 out of a need for sophisticated, effortless clothes that can be worn every day. They employ modern, timeless design and subtle functional details that will surprise after years of wear. Using her sharp knowledge of construction and craft - honed at TSE, Milly, and Tibi - the clothes are made with the highest quality and richest materials. A Japanese native, Natski studied fashion and art in London before landing in New York. Rent the Runway

Sophia Moon

Singer & Songwriter Sophia Moon is a rising starlet. She has been singing since the age of 10 and writing since the age of 15. Her music is a perfect hybrid between Pop and R&B and features catchy melodies and meaningful lyrics. For the last few years, Sophia Moon has been co-writing with producers Shin and Sean of A-Rex Productions. A-Rex Productions was recently signed to EMI after they caught the interest of L.A. Reid, Chairman and CEO of Island DefJam Music Group for their original sound.

NY Masti

Founded in 1999 by two students from New York University (although we are not affiliated with any university), the group is celebrating 10 years of success as it has grown to be an international sensation over the course of a decade with dozens of performances including those at The Loomba Foundation Charity Dinner at the United Nations 2007, Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (Central Jersey Chapter) Diwali Dinner 2007, Garden State Garba 2007 & 2008, Naach Nation 2009, other South Asian collegiate dance competitions, South Asian Conventions, Zee TV, MTV and more.
