Focusing it on the sky

HEY GUYS! SO, ACE 27: KALEIDOSCOPE WAS A HUGGEEE SUCCESS!
THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING AND SUPPORTING! ♥
The tickets were sold out and our food and drinks' sponsors were great, since a huge amount of food and beverages were left over even after everyone was done eating. We apologize for the long intermission and promise next year's ACE would be more efficient during the intermission to feed you, our dear audience.

That said, here are some ACE 27 photos from photographers Arthur Eisenberg, Ian Seah plus a few of our models' own backstage snapshots! More on the way:

Panic bells, it's red alert

Preview of Natsuki Nakano's OWL line. OWL's first Fall line will be launching in New York this August.

Natski Nakano created OWL in early 2009 out of a need for sophisticated, effortless clothes that can be worn every day.  They employ modern, timeless design and subtle functional details that will surprise after years of wear.  Using her sharp knowledge of construction and craft - honed at TSE, Milly, and Tibi  - the clothes are made with the highest quality and richest materials.

A Japanese native, Natski studied fashion and art in London before landing in New York.  While the focus of OWL is truly on the clothes themselves, the process of creating them incorporates elements of all these experiences into a timeless, easy luxury.

Come to the show to see more of OWL's great designs!

Flash the message, something's out there

Check out our flyer design. Isn't it gorgeous? It's designed by Parsons student Thi L. Wan.

This is designed by Jennifer Choi, also from Parsons.

The talented designers will be seated front row at our show so go over and say hi!

Til' one by one they were gone

The ACE 27 t-shirt design was finally done today. It was created by talented Parsons student Jennifer Choi. The design is kaledeioscopic (i like that word, david!) and our model Jian repeatedly appears to give that trippy, feel-good effect. Of course it wasn't easy to decide on the colors and design, but thanks to Jennifer once again, for being so awesome and creative. Check out her blog too at FRESHEASTFASHION

ABOUT ACE

Asian Cultural Expressions has established itself as the premier student-produced fashion and cultural benefit gala in New York. This year, ACE 27 is celebrating the diversity within and of various Asian cultures, with the theme of "Kaleidoscope." Integrating the multitudes of cultures, ACE 27 reinvents, re-imagines and transforms the long-standing gala into a grand and beautiful spectacle: Kaleidoscope.

Our mission is to recognize the show's history at NYU, reconnect community members, showcase fashion and performing talents, and redefine the way in which Asian culture and diversity can be portrayed through today's arts. Currently in its 27th year, ACE is the largest and longest running fashion show at NYU.

This year, our proceeds will directly benefit and support Justin's Cure, a nascent charity devoted to researching Type I Diabetes and to aid young children with Type I Diabetes. For more information please visit Justin's Cure
